Empowerment Sessions

The Economic Development Committee conducts various wealth development activities for the membership, including empowerment and education sessions dedicated to personal financial success through homeownership, real estate investing, business ownership and financial planning. Several of Houston’s top market leaders offer their professional viewpoints as it relates to their topic of expertise to include residential and commercial real estate, tax law and commercial financing.

Investment Club

The Economic Develompent Committee has spear-headed the launch of an investment club (not affiliated with the NBMBAA Houston Chapter, Inc) but does require membership within the Houston Chapter to be an investment club member.  For more information on the investment club, contact economicdevelompent@houstonblackmba.net.

Buy Black Campaign

The Economic Development Committee and the Houston Citizens Chamber of Commerce have joined forces to pilot a "Buy Black Campaign" aimed at getting Houston Chapter members to support a minimum number of black owned businesses each month.  The program is expected to launch in Q1 2011.  For more information, contact economicdevelompent@houstonblackmba.net.
