Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is charged with what are known in the Chapter as the three R’s: Recruitment, Retention and Renewal. The Membership Committee works diligently to continuously recruit new members by giving presentations at community, academic and corporate gatherings. Additionally, each member of the Chapter is an ambassador and so the Committee receives leads from our general membership. The Committee responds to inquiries by way of phone calls, emails and in-person, in a timely manner.
Retention is equally important to our goal of growing the Chapter this year. We regularly communicate with our existing members via email and phone calls to inform them of their membership status. Each month, we have a group of members whom we encourage to renew their membership before it lapses. We do not want any of our members to “miss out” on the wonderful new offerings that are being made available to them.
Renewals are receiving a great deal of attention this year. Those members whose memberships have lapsed more than 120 days are being encouraged to return to the Chapter to experience a new set of career, personal and economic offerings.
The Membership Committee is a group of warm, friendly volunteers who manage this function in the Chapter much like a high visibility project. The membership Committee is typically one of the first points of contact with the Chapter and so we do all we can to make that experience a welcoming one!
